About the Club
1. The Alberni Valley Rock and Gem Club was established in 1958. Most of its first members were prospectors. From this small beginning we have grown into a club that is interested in many facets of the earth sciences. Each year we put on a show to educate the people of the Alberni Valley. Last Year almost 1600 passed through our doors in the 2-day period of the show. Our education of the public does not stop there. Every year we travel to the schools in our area and have demonstration for the students. As you can see we are a very active club.

1. We are affiliated with The Lapidary Rock & Mineral Society of BC and the Gem & Mineral Federation of Canada.
